Historic VIP Train Tickets

In the late 1800's, prior to amalgamation of the
myriad local railways,
V.I.P. passengers holding these passes were able to transfer between
the various private rail companies without standing in line or
paying, as they crossed the Western Frontier. This poster
reprints the only known collection of V.I.P. rail passes of the
1870 era. General George Custer and his wife used just such
Northern Pacific passes to travel to Montanna c. 1873.
